JESUS

Jesus can transform your life

When Jesus was born he was laid in a feeding trough for animals, spent the early years of his life as a refugee in Egypt, and was eventually raised in a backwater town in the region of Galilee. It wasn’t exactly a promising start.

But as Jesus grew up, and as he began to speak and preach, it became apparent that he wasn’t just any man, he was ‘Immanuel’, which means, ‘God with us’.

When God saw the brokenness of our world, he didn’t stay at a distance, but he became one of us, sharing in the hardship of our lives. Jesus knew what it was like to be abandoned, stressed, and troubled.

But Jesus didn’t come just to share our experience, he invited us to share in his. Jesus died, he was executed on a Roman cross, but three days later he rose again to new life. And just as Jesus shared our life and death, he wants to share his new life with us.

When Jesus rose from the dead he sent his disciples to proclaim the good news to every part of the world, that if we trust him, Jesus is willing to share his new life with us both now and fully in the future.

At St Paul’s we believe that Jesus is for all people and that Jesus will transform your life. You can find out more at one of our Alpha groups or just by joining us this Sunday at 9:30 and 5:00.
